Pearl of Great Price–Religious Life

On March 3, 2018 a member and two formees of the Congregation of Divine Providence participated in a Vocation event sponsored by the Diocese of San Angelo. This event was called the “Pearl of Great Price–Religious Life.” It was an informational vocation event intended for all ages to help Catholics understand Religious life better.

Aside from Sister Elsa Garcia, CDP, Novice Sister Christina Chavez and Pre-Novice Melissa Cessac from the Congregation of Divine Providence, these five other congregations participated: Lubbock Franciscans (OSF), Oblates of Notre Dame (OND), Daughter of the Holy Spirit (FSpS), Dominicans of Mary Mother of the Eucharist (OP) and the Institute of the Coadjutors of the Social Apostolate (ICAS). The parents of a Dominican of Sinsinawa were included in this panel. Bishop Michael Sis’ offered his comments and blessings. The day concluded with a great meal attended by all.
