Congratulations to the 2018 Providence Graduates
The Sisters of Divine Providence congratulate the Providence Catholic (High) School Class of 2018. We are so proud of the Class of 2018! Eighty-five percent of the forty-eight intelligent, hard-working young graduates earned over $10.6 million in scholarships! 100% of the graduates were accepted to a total of 64 colleges or universities.
Sister Diane Langford, CDP was the commencement speaker; she shared her thoughts about “Living the Legacy.” As each graduate received her diploma, Sister Diane shook the hand of each as a sign of passing on the legacy of Mother Angelique Ayres, the founder of Providence High School. The Sisters also congratulate the valedictorian, Denise Herndon and the salutatorian, Pamela Callahan (daughter of CDP Associate and PHS graduate, Ann Breen Callahan.)
The Sisters join the following graduates and their families in the celebration of the following notable awards: Valero Alamo Bowl awarded Pam Callahan with $300,000; Alicia McNulty received an ROTC Scholarships to Norwich University; Esperanza Alatorre received an ROTC Scholarship to Louisiana State University.
