The mission of McCullough Hall is to continue the healing ministry of Jesus Christ in such a way that both givers and receivers of its services experience God’s love and compassion.
Placed in the heart of San Antonio’s West Side, McCullough Hall Nursing Center, Inc. provides high quality, affordable long- and short-term care for the elderly, physically disabled and intellectually disabled. Our primary population is in need of long term care, but we also provide care, including physical therapy, occupational therapy or speech therapy, for short term residents.
McCullough Hall is a sponsored ministry of the Congregation of Divine Providence, a community of Catholic women religious dedicating their lives to furthering the mission of Jesus in the world. Working in the classroom, healthcare and other ministries, our Sisters support growth, hope and change in the lives of countless individuals.
Built by the Sisters in 1972 to meet their needs, McCullough Hall now serves family members, Sisters and priests from other orders, as well as lay people. McCullough Hall respects and promotes the wholeness of the human person by providing for the spiritual, physical, intellectual and emotional needs of the residents and their families.
All persons in need receive necessary healthcare services insofar as McCullough Hall is able to provide such, without regard for race, color, creed, ethnicity, religion, national origin, marital status or gender. We primarily serve the elderly, physically disabled and intellectually disabled. It should be noted that, while McCullough Hall Nursing Center was founded by an order of Catholic Sisters, people of all faiths are served. The facility is managed by lay staff members also representing a variety of different backgrounds.
McCullough Hall Nursing Center is owned by the Congregation of Divine Providence but is open to the community.
McCullough Hall Nursing Center maintains a five-star rating by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, and was recently selected by U.S. News and World Report to be one of the “Best Nursing Homes” in the United States. In addition, in 2018, US News rated McCullough Hall as a “Top Performing Facility.” Of the sixty eight nursing facilities in San Antonio, McCullough Hall is the only 5-star facility that accepts both Medicare and Medicaid as well as private-pay.
