Sister Pearl Ceasar, CDP Delivers OLLU Commencement Address
On Saturday, December 12, 2020, Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) held a virtual commencement ceremony for its 2020 graduates. After a brief ceremony in Sacred Heart Chapel which included the Commencement Address, the graduates received their diplomas and to taking photos with OLLU President, Dr. Diane Melby, in a “drive-thru procession” in front of the Main Building of the University.
Sister Pearl Ceasar, CDP Superior General, delivered the commencement address which moved and inspired the graduates on the University’s 125th anniversary. Sister Pearl recognized the Sisters’ courage in building the University and acknowledged the significance of the graduation occurring on the Feast Day of Our Lady of Guadalupe.
“Your education at OLLU has prepared you and fostered your spiritual, personal and professional growth; it has equipped you not only for success but also for continued leadership and service. It is possible. The DNA of our Sisters is now your DNA,” said Sister Pearl.
