Our Lady of the Lake President and Convent Building Transition Ceremony

The Sisters of Divine Providence participated in a beautiful ceremony on July 14th, marking the transition from OLLU – Our Lady of the Lake University president Dr. Melby to Dr. Chávez and the Convent Building from the Sisters to OLLU.

The event began in Sacred Heart Chapel at 1 p.m. when Dr. Melby transitioned presidential responsibilities to Dr. Abel Chávez, OLLU’s 10th president.

There was a procession from Sacred Heart Chapel to the Convent Building for a special ceremony, transitioning the Convent Building from the Congregation of Divine Providence to the care of the university.
