Journey through Holy Week with Jesus
March 24 -30, 2024 at Our Lady of the Lake Convent Center (OLLCC) in San Antonio

Walk with Jesus through the joys, sorrows, and jubilation leading to his Passion, Death and Resurrection.  Through daily morning conferences and Scripture passages, personal and communal prayer time, and rich Holy Week rituals, deepen your understanding of Christ and ponder how His awesome providential and redemptive love is alive and at work in your life and world today. 

When:  This seven-day retreat begins after supper at 6 pm on Palm Sunday, continues through the Triduum and concludes with celebration of the 6 PM Easter Vigil.  (The final retreat conference is Holy Saturday morning if you prefer not to stay for the Easter Vigil.)  You are invited to participate in daily Mass and all the Holy Week liturgies with the Sisters.

Where:  The Regan Hall Community Room at Our Lady of the Lake Convent Center in San Antonio, Texas.

Retreat Leader:  Sister Mary Elizabeth Looby, GNSH is a Grey Nun of the Sacred Heart from Philadelphia, PA.  She holds an M.Ed. in Educational Administration and a M.S. in Pastoral Care and Counseling. After being trained as a spiritual director and retreat minister at Bon Secours Spiritual Center in MD, she obtained a certificate in Spiritual Direction from Neumann University.  Sister Mary Elizabeth has been a spiritual director for 30 plus years, a Congregational Leader and formation minister, and helped establish and direct the GNSH Associates program.

Suggested Commuter Donation: $400; (ACDP $350 rate) $70 for 7 daily Zoom morning conferences) includes 7 daily conferences, 7 lunches, access to convent grounds, chapels and prayer spaces during the day.  Please register by February 15, 2024.  A limited number of overnight rooms are available for an additional donation.    



CDP ACDP Private Nature Retreat
April 22-28, 2024 at Cedarbrake Retreat Center, Temple Texas

Watch Texas springtime unfold with other CDP Sisters and Associates during this 7-day nature retreat on the beautiful 75-acre grounds at Cedarbrake Retreat Center near Temple, Texas.

Since this is a private retreat, your schedule is your own during most of your stay.  Let the Spirit lead you to the nature trails or the St. Francis fountain.  Walk the outdoor labyrinth and Stations of the Cross and Light. Drink in silence and peace within the privacy of your room or enjoy the outdoor swings or under shaded gazebos.  Two chapels provide space to pray, or to attend the daily Mass offered every day except Tuesday. 

Bring books or materials for personal use or to be shared. Some retreatants may gather for optional small group prayer, video reflections, or sharing on the daily Scripture.  While not a directed retreat, pre-arranged spiritual direction may be available with the retreat center chaplain.

What to expect: Your residence is located towards the front of the retreat complex.  Each retreat house has 8 private bedrooms with linens, a private bath with shower and towels, a comfortable dining room/lounge, and an inviting fully equipped kitchen. Regular onsite food service is not provided, so the Congregation will provide simple easy to prepare breakfast, lunch and dinners that can be picked up or eaten in your residence dining area or outdoor picnic areas.

When: Carpools leave from OLLC in San Antonio (after lunch) at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, April 22 and return early afternoon on Sunday, April 28.  Please bring a few extra dollars for a lunch stop on the way home.    

Suggested Donation: $600; (ACDP $480) includes transportation, a six-night stay and simple meals while at the retreat center.  Space is nearly full so Please register by February 15, 2024.

Eight-Day Directed Retreat At Moye Retreat Center
May 24 – June 1, 2024, Castroville, TX

Moye Retreat Center is the original Motherhouse of the Sisters of Divine Providence. For over 140 years, Sisters, Associates and lay and ordained men and women have discovered peace and the power of God’s loving care while on retreats or praying at holy spaces on these grounds.  Sit on the wooden front porch rocker.  Spend time at the Grotto or outdoor Stations of the Cross.  Discover the tiny stone church or pray in the rose-window chapel located on the retreat center grounds. Let Providence guide you on a quiet stroll through the streets or nearby parks in the historic village of Castroville, Texas.

The retreat includes trained spiritual directors ready to companion you during this eight-day retreat.  Bring a journal, bible or spiritual growth materials, or borrow a book from the retreat center library. Daily Mass is available at the retreat center.         

What to expect: Your private room and shared bath with shower are located on the retreat grounds.  Breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinners are served in the retreat center dining room. Since this is a silence retreat, Monday through Friday meals are shared in silence. 

When: Your retreat begins with dinner at 5 pm on Friday, May 24 and ends on Saturday morning, June 1 before lunch.

Suggested Donation: $650; (ACDP $300) includes spiritual direction and a seven-night/8 day stay with meals at the retreat center.  Please register by February 15, 2024.  There currently is space for four additional retreatants.
