Our Lady of the Lake Convent Center Welcomes Providence Catholic School and Girl Scouts Troop 5195 for a Weekend of Reflection and Connection

On Friday, Providence Catholic School (PCS) gathered faculty, students, parents, alumnae, CDP associates, and CDP Sisters for a strategic planning session at Our Lady of the Lake Convent Center (OLLCC). This gathering was an opportunity to shape the future of the school and a reflection of the communal spirit at OLLCC.

For the Sisters, welcoming the PCS community into their home is an extension of their ministry. Because of the Sisters’ hospitality, OLLCC is a place for reflection, collaboration, and renewal. A space where mission-driven work is nurtured and guided.

The session also highlighted the beautiful bond between the PCS community and the Sisters of Divine Providence, emphasizing the continuity of the Sisters’ mission through the school’s dedication to preparing young women of diverse backgrounds for the world of tomorrow by fostering intellectual curiosity, deepening their faith, promoting integrity, and inspiring a pursuit of justice.

Girl Scouts Visit OLLCC

The spirit of community at Our Lady of the Lake Convent Center continued the following day when Troop 5195 from St. John Berchman and St. John Bosco visited on Saturday. The Girl Scouts had the joy of sharing lunch with the Sisters of Divine Providence, engaging in meaningful conversations and experiencing the Sisters’ warmth and hospitality. As a gesture of gratitude, the Scouts made Valentine’s Day cards for the Sisters and gifted them delicious Girl Scout cookies, bringing smiles and a sense of appreciation to the gathering.

By welcoming the Girl Scouts into their home, the Sisters provided an opportunity for the next generation to witness and participate in the spirit of Providence, reinforcing the values of kindness, generosity, and community.
