Providence

Providence sometimes moves slowly… surely and slowly….  After two years a single mother, who was homeless and who had nothing, accomplished her goal.  She studied, worked and saved to obtain her own apartment for her and her child. She participated in the “Family Promise” program that is supported by the parish where I minister.

I saw many Christian churches give time, food, a listening ear, and shelter for two years.  This is Providence.  That the hearts of many came together to help a single mom be able to provide stability and security for her child. Many opened their doors and hearts to see that two of God’s children could live in dignity.  This was beautiful to see and satisfying to be a part of.
