Hi, Everyone! It’s me, Sr. Kate!

I am now well into my second year of annual vows.  I’m out on mission in Midland, Texas where I’m serving the kindergarteners of St. Ann’s Catholic School.  This is my second year teaching at St. Ann’s.  I enjoy teaching the children beginning reading and math skills.  They are now blending sounds and reading several sight words.  They are learning to count to 100 and how to add and subtract.

Mostly, we like to have fun.  Sometimes we dress up.

I was Super Nun for Saints and Superheroes Day.
During Red Ribbon Week in October, the children wore crazy socks.
We created the Tower of Babel using spaghetti and marshmallows.
In December, we decorated a tree at a local museum and chased our gingerbread man around the school!

Now, I’m preparing for the final nine weeks of this school year.  I’m amazed at how quickly the time has passed!  Thank you for all your support and prayers!
