A listening ear and a caring heart

Sister Anne Michele Berry, CDP has served as a Discovery Learning Center lead teacher in Steamboat Springs, Colorado since 1994. She finds joy in providing a safe, caring, enriching environment for approximately 20 Pre-K students each year and experiencing how children grow more confident, more caring and more competent as the months go by.

One of her most treasured memories is of a boy who began the year unable to speak in a complete sentence, ending the year by happily telling his parents at the end of a day what he and his friends had done at school that day. She brings a listening ear and a caring heart to her students and fellow teachers and in turn receives lots of hugs from children, much gratitude from parents, and the privilege of working alongside an excellent administrator and team of teachers in an Early Childhood Center with an outstanding reputation.
