CDP Sisters Celebrate Earth Day

The Sisters of Divine Providence celebrated Earth Day on April 22, 2021. The Congregation of Divine Providence (CDP) Earth Care Committee organized a program to celebrate and asked Sisters to join. CDP Sisters gathered in Regan Community Room at Our Lady of the Lake Convent Center where a prayer service was held, and Earth related documentaries were shown.

Following the prayer service, a special Mass took place in Annunciation Chapel where Sisters dressed up to represent the different elements of Earth. Sister Frances Lorene Lange, CDP and other Sisters spoke on the importance of the preservation and restoration of Earth. The Congregation of Divine Providence is supportive of the efforts of the Earth Care Committee as it continues to bring awareness to the universal obligation of caring for all of God’s creations.
