Prayer for Orlando

We Sisters of Divine Providence and Associates value right relationships and work on social justice, peace and the integrity of creation.  We are committed as a Congregation to advocate for peace and justice. Our last six chapter statements have supported this and our Chapter Statement 2011 states “The power of Providence strengthens us with radical confidence and impels us to serve with compassion, to restore harmony through open and respectful communication, and to dare to advocate on behalf of a world wounded by violence.”

Therefore, the Sisters of Divine Providence of San Antonio join with the people of the world in solidarity with the community of Orlando in prayer for the victims and their families who are suffering from the unspeakable violence they have endured.  We ask our Provident God to heal, comfort and grant peace to those who are suffering.
