Sister Mary Christine Presents at OST

The Oblate School of Theology (OST) sponsored a conference, Surrender to Christ for Mission: French Spiritual Traditions, on November 16 and 17, 2017.  Sister Mary Christine Morkovsky, CDP, was invited to be one of the speakers and presented Women & French Spirituality.  In her presentation she brought to light how within French spiritualities from the 17th century on, women play an increasing role as spiritual teachers, writers, founders of communities, and in various forms of ministry, not least with a particular emphasis on education. This is illustrated by the presence of several communities of women & institutions founded by them in the San Antonio region.  Sister Mary Christine shared this presentation privately with her fellow Sisters at Our Lady of the Lake Convent the week prior to this event.
