Sister Misty Garriga’s Professes Perpetual Vows
On Saturday May 12, 2018, Sister Misty Garriga, CDP made her perpetual profession of vows in the Congregation of Divine Providence. Pastor Father Steve Leger presided at the Eucharistic Celebration at St Henry’s Catholic Church, Bridge City, Texas at 11:00 am. Monsignor Michael Jamail, Vicar General of the Diocese of Beaumont, participated in the service and brought the greetings of the Bishop and his gratitude at having Sisters of Divine Providence in the diocese.
Sister Pearl Ceasar, CDP Superior General, received Sister Misty’s vows in the name of the Congregation and presented her with the congregational ring as a symbol of God’s fidelity and Providence. Approximately 30 Sisters of Divine Providence, our three Ursuline Sister residents and our four international Sister students witnessed the profession along with a church full of family and friends. A dinner prepared by people of the parish followed in the St Henry’s Parish Hall.
Sister Misty’s father is in poor health and was determined to be present at the profession. He made it for the entire service and dinner. Misty’s five siblings and their families were also present. The Garriga family has been a mainstay of St. Henry’s parish for many years.
