Sister Joyce Detzel, CDP, currently serves as a General Councilor for the Congregation of Divine Providence of San Antonio, Texas. She has served as an educator, attorney, and campus/retreat minister for 40 years in parish, high school, university and diocesan settings in Ohio and Texas. Her passion for advocacy, education and social justice is reflected in her work at Grace House Sexual Abuse Center, supervision of legal interns representing homeless clients, and assisting in the national expansion of the Tahirih Justice Center. Her founding vision, passion, and commitment to PROSO empowers Sisters and Associates to find new ways to offer relevant, compassionate spiritual outreach to individuals and groups impacted by the pandemic, personal transitions and societal change.
